“Class A” Research Center with Certified Vivarium

Pharmaceutical & Biotechology | Pennsylvania

Client is a product-focused biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of fibrotic disorders and diseases. Its compounds control the hair trigger switch between inflammation and scar formation resulting from disease, trauma, infection, and medical treatments.

Project Overview

PROTECS was retained to deliver the project from concept through completion for this N.I.H. funded series “B” round, biologics start-up. The project involved transforming a third-generation office and lab suite into a “Class A” office and research center including a fully upgraded AAALAC certified vivarium for this new company. Additionally, during the renovation PROTECS discovered and remediated significant deficiencies in the building including hidden mold infestation, undersized power and adjacent tenant issues. The project was delivered ahead of schedule, on-budget and with zero safety incidents.

Critical Project Demands

PROTECS was tasked with delivering the fully renovated suite as quickly as possible to allow rent commencement and coincide with the tenants expiring lease in a nearby office building. Because of the start-up nature of the tenant, cost containment was also a critical component of the project. PROTECS succeeded in delivering the project to meet all stakeholders’ objectives.
