PROTECS Acquires Innovation Center in Warminster

Now Offering Five Innovation Centers to Support R&D Operations for Innovative Companies

Plymouth Meeting, PA, February 19, 2024 – Novita Equities, a PROTECS Company, has recently acquired a 35,155-square-foot research and development lab facility located within Bucks County, PA. PROTECS is proud to add this fifth innovation center to its existing portfolio of four innovation centers throughout Montgomery County, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, PA.

The newest PROTECS Innovation Center is located at 701 Veterans Circle on Route 332 and is already 100% leased to Arbutus Biopharma as its global headquarters location. Arbutus Biopharma is a clinical biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing, and commercializing a cure for patients suffering with Hepatitis B. Being only 10 minutes away from I-276, with connections to I-95 & I-476, commuters have easy access to Pennsylvania’s major highway systems.

“Since opening the first innovation centers in 2012, we’re excited to expand our innovation centers into Bucks County and offer a total 225,000 square feet of cGMP Manufacturing and R&D lab space throughout Montgomery and Bucks counties. This additional innovation center highlights our commitment to support innovative companies that desire to have their own identity, laboratory and office space,” said Christopher DiPaolo, President & CEO of Novita and PROTECS.

PROTECS Innovation Centers are the ultimate reflection of PROTECS’ competencies in serving the life sciences and high-tech sectors. Whether a tenant needs 700 or 70,000 square feet, PROTECS leverages its specialized design-build expertise to deliver spaces that encourage collaboration between resident companies, start-ups and emerging growth innovators to efficiently conduct their R&D operations in a way that makes maximum use of precious capital dollars.

“We are committed to giving innovation its space to grow and enabling organizations to be successful,” said DiPaolo.

With the number of large life sciences campuses dwindling and the talent within Philadelphia, scientists are spinning out their own research and development operations in biotech, pharma, medical device and other high-tech innovations. These emerging companies need a space that can support their complex regulatory and resource demands that is affordable.
