Mooresville, North Carolina (September 1, 2021) – Doug Foley plans a return to NHRA major league drag racing on September 9 at Maple Grove Raceway, hoping to exercise a “homecourt advantage” for both the driver and new sponsor PROTECS, a leading full-service project and construction management company focused on serving the hi-tech regulated market sectors.“We’ve had a lot of success at Maple Grove and we’ll be right in the backyard of PROTECS as they come onboard as our sponsor for this event,” said Foley during a break from preparing his top fuel dragster. “We are shooting to qualify in the top half of the bracket and go win some rounds for PROTECS.”

Being headquartered in Plymouth Meeting, PA, about an hour from Maple Grove Raceway, PROTECS is an innovative full-service project and construction management company with offices in PA, NJ, DE, UT, and NC and it’s been providing clients a broad range of services from project inception to occupancy for over 16 years.

Chris DiPaolo, President and CEO of PROTECS said there is great synergy between the high performance of the work that PROTECS executes at risk and of the Foley and Lewis Top Fuel team: “In the eyes of our clients, we are the driver that brings their products and services to the market in record time while never losing focus of their strategic budgetary objectives towards the finish line.”

He added: “We are proud to sponsor the Foley and Lewis Top Fuel team and showcase how our unique fast track design-build model unlocks parallel efficiencies between design and construction, thus empowering clients to dramatically compress their time-to-occupancy and thereby time-to-innovation.”

Foley said “the addition of PROTECS as our primary sponsor and racing at my home track was too much to pass up. Our team has taken the attitude of quality over quantity going forward this season,” Foley explained. “We won’t go to the track as often, but when we go, we will make it count.”

The Foley and Lewis Top Fuel team plans on treating several dozen PROTECS employees, clients and other guests to the full experience of NHRA drag racing at its finest. “We are planning on a full hospitality area for PROTECS and all of our special guests that weekend,” said Foley, who spent much of his adult life in the Sewell, NJ area – about 80 miles east of the NHRA venue.

“This is like a homecoming for me and my family when we go back to Maple Grove. We’re going to take our best stuff up there and I will be up on the wheel to put on a great show for PROTECS, too!”

DiPaolo said sponsorship of the team will enable his company to reward some loyal clients who are fans of the sport and gain valuable exposure to prospective new clients.

Through PROTECS’ patented Target Costing® delivery methodology, PROTECS is a single point of contact from project inception to master planning, site selection, design, construction, commissioning, and validation.
